Getting ready for school

School starts again on Monday in France and me and my daughter have been shopping for new things. It was so much fun. I loved to see her very enthusiastic about small things, saying "Oh, the color of this pen is beautiful!" or "This pencil case is great, I love it!" It was a perfect mother and daughter time.

Binder and pencil case bought at Hema.

In France, the school holidays last two months, which is LONG. Usually, I work in July and take the month of August off, but this year I am at home taking care of my baby so I really had the full experience of the holidays. What I loved about it, was to spend time with my children and to be able to wake up later than usual - I hate waking up early everyday - and also to have time to do things, and not schedule too much.

But it's time to go back to a more regular rhythme. So I'll go with it and that's why I bought myself a new agenda and a little note book to write down my to-do lists, or thoughts.

Agenda and booknote bought at Monoprix, pencil at Muji.

I hope everybody had a wonderful month of August. Mine was great, but very stressful at times (I know myself and I will probably forget soon about the bad moments). May this new school year be full of fun and joy for everybody.
